Who am i

Without getting too existential…

I am a Registered Nurse living in my adoptive hometown of Calgary. I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Nursing with Distinction in 2008. I first worked in the ICU before moving into oncology.

I have been training as an injector for over a year. I completed a training program at a local medi-spa, but found that more training was necessary to become a confident and safe injector. I pursued an accredited program with the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine and received certificates in advanced injections, medical-grade skin care, PRP & laser treatments. This program allowed for multiple days of hands-on training under the guidance of experienced nurses and physicians.

My dream is to provide injections in a comfortable space that is convenient for you and not at all intimidating. My practice is based off scientific evidence with your goals in mind, not the latest tik-tok trend…. sorry Barbie.

And….?

We all wear many hats…

I am also a Legal Nurse Consultant, contracted by lawyers when they need to determine standards of care as it relates to their client’s injury. This is very interesting and rewarding work when I can help a client that was wrongfully injured by a nurse. This motivates me to keep my nursing practice up to date and practice within my scope and safety standards. This means I may have to turn down a cosmetic treatment if it’s deemed unsafe or the risk outweighs the benefit, but know this is for the benefit of both of us.

At home, I have my hands full with two beautiful girls and an elderly Labrador retriever. I was lucky to marry my University love turned Firefighter - check out Mr. October in the 2024 Hot Stuff Calendar!

You can often find me sipping coffee in my favourite vintage rocker, at the climbing gym or yoga studio, lifting, rollerblading, biking, or dancing in the kitchen. I enjoy a vegetarian lifestyle along with all the benefits of movement and mindfulness.
